In the old Japanese calendar names, July was usually called “Fumidzuki”, using the characters for “Letter” and “Month”, but did you know that it was also known as “Ryougetsu”, using the characters for “Cool” and “Month”?
It doesn't seem cool at all...why is it that we are in a month that is getting hotter by the day? Many people wonder why it is so hot in July. That names were created while Japan used the lunar calendar, but since it is 1~2 months behind the solar calendar, that might be the reason, right?

With that being said, let’s get to our “Cool Month” REALITY Newsletter!

REALITY Worlds

■METAVERSE EXPO in REALITY surpassed 6.5 million visitors!

METAVERSE EXPO in REALITY, the first joint corporate exhibition event on REALITY, was held from June 14, 2023 (Wednesday) to July 14, 2023 (Friday).

Approximately 6.5 million people from all over the world visited the event over the past month!
91 talented creators selected by lottery from a large number of applicants and 15 companies and organizations from a wide range of fields participated in the event.


We are very happy that so many people enjoyed the event!
Thank you again to everyone who attended the REALITY METAVERSE EXPO World!

■aespa x TOKYO DOME World「MY TOKYO DOME WORLD」

aespa, a popular 4-member "metaverse" group that will perform at Tokyo Dome on August 5 and 6, will appear at REALITY in collaboration with Tokyo Dome World!

You can see aespa's music video on the big screen, so please go and visit with your friends!

You can also take a commemorative photo with aespa!

In the center of the dome venue, if you time it right... you can even dance this cool dance ✨.

Hello! I’m REALITY’s CEO, DJ RIO.🦊
It is totally summer in Tokyo, where the REALITY office is located, and it is so hot! It's so hot that I want to destroy the world because of the asphalt and the concrete jungle, which makes it 36 degrees Celsius (97 degrees Fahrenheit) or even more!

I learned from manga and anime that summer means going to the beach in a bathing suit or wearing a yukata and watching fireworks, but if you go to a place where even more people gather in such hot weather, you will die, right? So I think it is better to go to the beach or fireworks in the Metaverse in an air-conditioned room!

With that being said, I’m off to buy more swimsuits and yukata for my avatar!

My recent responsibilities are related to video ads and missions!
I am planning to make everyone enjoy REALITY even more through video ads and mission experiences.
At the time of this writing, we are in the process of planning the REALITY 5th Anniversary Mission!
(By the time this article is published, the 5th-anniversary mission should have been announced...)

Speaking of the 5th anniversary, have you applied for the "CREATOR FAIR"?
I also had the opportunity to help out a little with the tallying of the entries and saw many wonderful works. There were many other entries that I personally thought were "wonderful! Although I was not able to share them at the CREATOR FAIR, I would be very grateful if you could share your own creations with us via Twitter or other means.

It is still hot outside, but we are waiting for your posts with as much enthusiasm as that! (Don’t forget to use the hashtag too!)

Hello! My name is IKURA, Community Manager.

It's summer~~ and contrary to appearances, I love summer and the ocean (my friends often comment that I seem to like cloudy weather and rain)!
I especially love clouds in summer. I feel like running when I see cumulonimbus clouds spreading across the blue sky.
Do you have any anime you like to watch or music you like to listen to in the summer?
I generally want to watch "Air" and "Summer Wars" every year. I was born and raised in Tokyo (no sarcasm intended), so I long for summers when I can go back to the countryside. I want a hometown. ......
For now, I'm going to run for no reason while listening to Number Girl's Invisible Girl!

Finally, REALITY will finally celebrate its 5th anniversary on August 7! We will continue to do our best in the 5th year so that everyone can enjoy the event!
