Our Approach to Safety

At REALITY, you can break free from the constraints of the real world to become “whoever you want” and express yourself in several ways. 
We have users who actively pursue their dreams and objectives, users who support those giving their best in their activities, users who just want to enjoy a relaxed REALITY lifestyle, and many other forms of becoming whoever you want. 

In order to make REALITY a place where many people can connect and engage in a variety of activities, we believe that it is necessary to make REALITY a safe environment for the community to use. We have been working on various initiatives such as strengthening audits and developing functions to make REALITY safer. On the other hand, we have not disclosed to you our specific efforts and the number of detections to date.

To ensure that everyone can enjoy REALITY with peace of mind, we have decided to launch a Transparency Report this month to disclose the number of issues that have been addressed, our efforts to improve safety, problems reported by users, and our policy for resolving these issues. The Transparency Report will be updated monthly.

Number of Cases Handled - June 2023

In June, with the increase in the number of users, the number of reports also significantly increased, but the number of penalty cases saw only a slight increase. The usage restrictions remained at the same level as the previous month, but the usage restrictions for users under 13 years old increased by 100 cases compared to the previous month.

Efforts in June 2023

Account Suspension Due to Unauthorized Refunds

We have identified cases in which certain accounts have received unauthorized refunds from Google Play / Apple Store or credit card companies after making purchases for paid coins. For accounts where the payment for the purchased coins remains unpaid due to unauthorized refunds without valid reasons, we may take action to suspend the account without prior notice, as it would be considered a violation of the in-app currency terms and conditions.

If you encounter any purchase-related issues like the following, please contact the REALITY customer support before initiating a refund request with Google Play / Apple Store or your credit card company:

・Purchased coins, but they were not credited to your account.
・Received a billing for a purchase that you do not recall making.
・Coins were credited to your account, but you do not remember making the purchase.

If your account is suspended due to a violation of the in-app currency terms and conditions without prior notice, please be aware that we may not be able to provide assistance even if you reach out to us. Regardless of the number or amount of refunds, unauthorized refunds without valid reasons can lead to the loss of your valuable account, so please exercise caution.

Update on Account Usage Restrictions

As mentioned in last month's report, we have updated the usage restriction measures for accounts in violation of the terms and conditions.
