Our Approach to Safety

At REALITY, you can break free from the constraints of the real world to become “whoever you want” and express yourself in several ways. 
We have users who actively pursue their dreams and objectives, users who support those giving their best in their activities, users who just want to enjoy a relaxed REALITY lifestyle, and many other forms of becoming whoever you want. 

In order to make REALITY a place where many people can connect and engage in a variety of activities, we believe that it is necessary to make REALITY a safe environment for the community to use. We have been working on various initiatives such as strengthening audits and developing functions to make REALITY safer. On the other hand, we have not disclosed to you our specific efforts and the number of detections to date.

In order to ensure that everyone can enjoy REALITY with peace of mind, we have decided to launch a Transparency Report this month to disclose the number of issues that have been addressed, our efforts to improve safety, problems reported by users, and our policy for resolving these issues. The Transparency Report will be updated monthly.

Number of Cases Handled (April 2023)

Due to a significant decrease in the number of incidents involving event fraud last month, the number of usage restrictions have also decreased.

• Reports Made: 22,495

• Number of Penalties Enforced: 7,423

• Number of Temporary Restrictions: 1,700

• Number of Permanent Restrictions: 2,642

• Restrictions on use by users under 13 years of age: 392

Efforts in April 2023

Moderator Feature Released

We have performed an update to add a "Moderator feature" to ensure that all users can engage in streaming and viewing content with peace of mind.
The feature allows streamers to add trusted users as their "Moderators," enabling them to delegate tasks such as deleting comments and banning users during a live stream.
Since the release of this feature, many users have started using it, and the number of comment deletions and comment blocks has doubled compared to before the release.
We are delighted that you are making the most of this feature and enjoying a more comfortable REALITY life.

Enhancing measures for users under 13 years old

To create an account on REALITY, you need to be at least 13 years old (depending on the laws of your residing region, the minimum age may be higher).
If we confirm that an account belongs to a child under the age of 13, usage restrictions are imposed on that account. Starting in April, we have expanded this policy to cover all regions.
In order to ensure the safety of children on REALITY, we have strict measures in place regarding the usage of individuals under the age of 13. If you come across an account that appears to belong to a child under 13, please report it through the in-app reporting feature.
