The Best and Easiest Harissa Chicken Recipe

Today, I'm going to go ahead and season my chicken with a little kosher salt, about 10 garlic cloves or so. We've got some red onion. We're gonna give this a quick marinade, you guys, with my harissa paste and a few spices.

So, a good bit of coriander. And by the way, these spices are the same ones used in my homemade harissa paste, so this will really, really bring out all the flavor. Cumin, one or so teaspoons. Smoked paprika, oh yes. I love the smokiness in this chicken. And then a little bit of black pepper.

And if you like your food spicy, a pinch of cayenne to your liking. From here, dun-dun-dun, the star ingredient. Homemade harissa paste. You guys, this stuff is amazing and so easy to make, so check out that recipe. We're gonna do a good bit, about six to seven spoons of this homemade harissa paste, which is basically a chili paste made with chili, garlic, and some of these spices right here.

So, it's amazing. And then we're gonna do juice of one lemon. Yep, that's right, everything goes in this one bowl. And we're gonna mix it up real good, and give it some time to soak all the goodness. We're gonna hit it up with a good generous drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. The olive oils I use are straight from Greece. This is a good time to put on some kitchen gloves 'cause you're gonna mix this baby up. And you wanna make sure that your chicken gets all the flavor it can from the harissa paste. Give this all a good toss. Now, I typically would throw this in a skillet, and cook it real quick but my husband is home today, and we are going to put these on the grill in just a bit. put it in the fridge and let it marinate for a couple hours. All right. Oh, yes, Chicken has had enough time in the fridge. Couple hours is all you need but if you don't have the time, even a half hour in this beautiful harissa situation is all you need, so . Okay, we are ready to grill this chicken. And here comes the grill master .

All right, I'm gonna do something so sneaky, and have him grill all my veggies and that way, I don't have to do anything more for dinner. So, there we go. We just have some zucchini and some onion and some tomato. A little bit of salt and pepper. A good extra virgin olive oil. Toss it up quick and we're gonna go throw these all on the grill or the skillet outdoors. Mm, smells amazing, you guys.
