Changes on Main Street
GORTON (4 August) - Shanitra Jones, director of the city's Small Business Coalition ,welcomed two new businesses to Main Street during an outdoor ceremony last week. Both newcomers are occupying propeties left vacant for over six months by previous businesses that closed down.
Great Customisables has moved into the old Walt's Jewellery mart space at 65 Main Street. Great Customisables offers merchandise such as hats, shirts, and totes that can be personallised with names, designs, and company logos.
Fred Djirubal, the store's manager, said he looks forward to paying an active role in the Gorton community. "We love working with schools and charitable organisations by assisting with fund-raisers," he said.
Cafe Arepa, an eatery specialising in Venezuelan cuisine, now occupies the space formerly held by Pizza Kings at 14 Main Street. "The Small Business Coalition is delighted to have Cafe Arepa there," Mr. Jones said, "Having a fine restaurant right in the middle of the shopping district will draw people in."
Mr. Jones added that Hargrave Cleaning Services will be opening a branch office in downtown Groton as soon as it can finalise the lease.

Hargrave Cleaning Services will be here this weekend, 17-18 October to perform a deep cleaning of the entire facility, including the break room. Carpets will be shampooed. Please remove all personal items from the floor in your office or cubicle and clear your desk. All food mus be removed from the break-room regrigerator and anything left there will be thrown away. Please make certain to complete these tasks before the end of the day on Friday, 16 October.

I want to address the weak sales figures for our kids' menu items. We are seating as many children as ever, but we are seling fewer kids' meals each month. It is time we took a hard look at the kids' menu.
I have attached a recent restaurant industry article that could be helpful. Please share it with the team and then put together some options for review. Pay particular attention to point number one regarding diners' preferences. The servers say that we often get requests like that.

Time to Udate Your Children's Menu?
According to a recent Best Dinning Magazine survery, restaurants need to make big changes to their children's menus if they want to appeal to young families. Diners preferred expanded kids' menu options in three main categories:
1.Seventy percent of respondents wanted menu options for childre who are on special diets(e.g., vegitarian meals).
2.Eighty-seven percent of respondents requested options for healthier eating(e.g., fruits, vegetables, and grilled or baked poultry and fish).
3.Sixty-four percent of respondents said they would like to see more customizable kids' meals(e.g., choose-your-own toppings, sauces, and side items).
Interestingly, very few respondents (19 percent) requested lower prices.

Goobye, Chicken Nuggets: Hello, Kale Salad!
Chef Jim Bickman at Mountain Chalet has made dining out with kids a lot healthier - and more enjoyable - by updating the restaurant's kids' menu. On a recent visit, theparents and children at our table all gave the new menu items an excellent review.
One young diner was thrilled that he could choose to top his kale salad with grilled chicken, tofu , or fish. Similary, another child loved that she could choose from three sauces and multiple meats to create a pasta dish. Old favorites like grilled cheese sandwiches are also still available.
While we relaxed at our table, we enjoyed playing tabletop games that the restaurant had recently introduced. The atmosphere and the food made for a wonderful dining eperience. I highly recommend Mountain Chalet to all food lovers with kids.

Your company's monthly electricity charges fluctuated significantly over the past year. Many of our commercial customers with this kind of usage pattern have swithced to Commercial SB billing. Please take a moment to read the attached copy of a letter I just received. I like Ms. Tuji's suggestion, and I believe we should mot forward with it. Do you agree? Looking back at our recent records, I notice we experienced a major jump in costs starting in the exact month our temporary interns first arrived at began working on those short-term projects.
