Choose your route: Kraid or Ridley first.

The fastest route is Kraid First.
However, this is a hellish route that requires a tremendous number of resets, which is strongly influenced by the luck of missile drops.
The difficulty level also jumps up, making it not suitable for beginners.
Therefore, the route introduced here is the "Ridley First" route, i.e., Ridley is defeated first.

Explanation of Ridley's first route: early moves

If you decide that Ridley is the first boss to defeat, there are a few pieces of equipment to collect first. First, collect them and proceed to the area "Ridley (or Ridley's room)".

When the game starts, first acquire the morph ball on the left. Leave immediately after acquiring it.

Morph ball

First missile; gets 5 missiles but launches all 5 into Red Gate.

Missile tank

The first energy tank. Recovers all energy when acquired.

E-tank

Bombs. A bomb can be placed during morph ball.
If you touch it with a morph ball, you can make a bomb jump, but if you release the morph after that without moving left or right, you can make a normal jump in the air, which is convenient.
(You can also use morph to jump in the air from a fall in the same way. Remember to put it in neutral after unmorph).

Bomb

Ice Beam. This allows you to freeze your enemies so that they can defeat the metroids.

Ice Beam

Bomb Jump +  Unmorph Jump (i.e Mid-air Jump))

Unmorph Jump (i.e Mid-air Jump)

Defeat the enemies along the way to replenish 5 missiles.
We want to replenish them up to this point because it is dangerous to try to retrieve them in later areas.

you need 5 missiles

Area: norfair.
Just move around, so run through it quickly. Move down and down and down.

Area: norfair.

Area: Ridley.
Use the gate on the left side this time. Once you pass through the lower side with the bomb, destroy the red gate with a missile.

Continue ahead and you will find an energy tank.
You can stand in front of the bomb and bomb jump, or you can fall from the morph to release it and jump in the air. If you are not in a hurry, you will get it for sure.

mid-air jump

 Boss: Ridley.
NES has a fatal flaw in that if you are near Ridley, the fireballs won't hit us, so you just have to get close and keep hitting them.
It's so much easier to beat him.
In the case of FDS, freeze all fireballs first, then continue hitting them.

easy fight

Destroying the boss gives +75 missiles.

missiles +75

After defeating Ridley, head for Boss: Kraid.

Once you have successfully defeated Ridley, you will return to the map at the beginning.

exit Rid

One of the things that make the action in this game difficult is the block that disappears for a certain period of time when broken.
Even if it is like a wall that cannot be climbed as it is, it can be used as a foothold by hitting it from the side while jumping. Practice here.

blocks

This part may seem a bit difficult, but the timing is actually constant, so you just need to learn a technique that you can fix yourself.
For example, "destroy the top block, then single beam x6" and so on.

blocks

When we return from Norfair, we will also drive backwards through Brinstar. On the way, we can get energy tanks, so let's collect them here. To use the enemy as a foothold, freeze the enemy in the air with an ice beam.

Movement in the Kraid Area

First, the Kraid area drops for a while and then moves to one of the Red Gates. Remember where it is, because you can get on it by deactivating the morph in the middle of the ride.

this red gate

 Red Gate before the boss.
If you have chosen the Kraid first route, pray that you get 5 missiles here (each supply is 2 missiles, so 3 drops are required). Since we are taking out Ridley first, let's keep going.

bad red gate

 Boss: Kraid.
This guy sends spikes and claws flying.
You can't freeze all of them with an ice beam, and you can't prevent the ones from the lower levels.
Fortunately, missiles are available to us, so let's push on. By using the missile/beam switch well, you can shorten the time by shooting a normal beam while the missile is hardening.

Kraid

When destroyed, the missile is +75. and there is a hidden e-tank

After defeating Kraid, return to the road - head for Tourian.

After defeating Kraid, there are multiple vertical block climbs in a row on several maps.
You have to keep climbing up while breaking blocks in small pieces.

blocks

The way to climb it, you have to put your body halfway out and then jump to break the block above you. Jump again to get on that spot, and repeat.
If you break all the blocks on the top in order, it will be too slow because of the time it takes to wait for the blocks to be generated.

climb
mid-air jump

*If you are slow to climb, the block generation in the previous map will be applied to the current map as well, causing damage and a large knockback. (SMOKE MONSTER)
Depending on where you are hit by this, you will be sent straight back down. If you are moving too slowly and think this is about to happen, give up and wait a bit on an unbroken foothold.

smoke monster

Once safely up, you will have to ascend again, this time to the elevator. Then, to shorten the time here, use an aerial jump to get to the other side of the river. Then use the ice beam to use the enemy as a foothold.

you need kill this enemy!!!
freeze the enemy

After safely exiting the Kraid area, move to the Tourian for the last time. After a long vertical climb, go to the Blue Gate on the left and move the Red Gate.

red gate

Stone statues of bosses. This time, we have defeated two bosses, so we shoot a beam to activate them and create a bridge.

Tourian: Movement to the ending

In Turian, missiles are needed in large quantities.
The "metroids" that appear along the way are used to replenish the supply. Freeze them with an ice beam and destroy them with missiles.
One drop can replenish 30 missiles, so it depends on luck, but if it hits, it is significant.

metroid

Boss: Mother Brain's room. Destroy the zebetite first.

need missiles(73)

Boss: Mother Brain. They will just keep firing missiles at this position. All Rinkas should be dealt with safely by freezing them with ice beams.

easy method

After the defeat, the escape part. From here, the final vertical climb will be the end.

Time bomb

The timer stops the moment you get into the elevator and press the top (at the end of the operation).

end

The rest of the process ends with the ending.
