職業訓練校 選考試験 - 1. 応募倍率

今回は、職業訓練校の選考試験についてお話ししたいと思います。
少し長くなるので何回かに分けてお伝えします。

私は2024年2月から職業訓練に通っていますが、最近の傾向として、人気の訓練は応募倍率が高いと思います。私は2005年に職業訓練に通いましたが、全員合格でした。今回は、選考試験に合格するまでに、別の訓練校で3回不合格通知を受け取りました。その訓練は人気が高いようで、定員に対して1.5倍～2.5倍の応募者がいました。

応募倍率は自治体や訓練内容、開始時期によって異なります。ハローワークで聞いたところによると、ボーナスをもらって退職した人が職業訓練に通い始めたいと思う1月、4月、そして、子供たちの夏休みが終わって保護者に時間ができる9月に開始する訓練は、応募が多いとのことでした。

個人的に、2024年時点で応募倍率が高いのは、コロナ蔓延防止のため、席数を減らしているからではないかと思っています。以前通っていた訓練校は狭い教室に長机がいくつか置いてあって、そこに3人ずつ座る、すし詰め状態でした。

今回訓練校説明会に行った時に見た教室はどれも同じような体系でしたが、1台の長机に対して2人ずつ座っていたので、やはりソーシャルディスタンスを取るために募集定員を減らさざるを得ないのではないかと、勝手に想像しています。

Today I'll talk about the competitive ratio for vocaional training.

I think the competitive ratio after COVID-19 is a lot higher. When I first took the test in 2005, all the applicants passed the test for our class, but in 2023 I failed 3 times until I finallly passed the test in 2024. The class I took the test for was so popular that the competitive ratio was 1.5 - 2.5.

The ratio depends on the city, class, or timing you start. My unemployment office told me that some timing is difficult to pass the test, such as Jan and April when employees quit their job with bonus paid and want to start something, and Sep when parents get their time due to their kids going back to school.

I also think limited number of students led to this high competitive ratio. Schools need to keep distance as COVID-19 anti-virus measures and seem to take more space than back in 2005.
