雪国の長靴の話です。
夏の頃から、隣のおじさんが「ここの必需品だよ」と仰っていたので、新品の長靴を買いました。
昔「黒いブーツ」なんてオシャレな歌がありましたが、私が履いているブーツは、ご覧の通り何とも地味です。
「作業用長靴」「安全長靴」などと呼ばれるものです。

確かに、畑でも庭でも便利でした。
しかし、本領発揮は圧倒的に冬場でした。
十日町では、毎日みんなが長靴を履いています。スーパーや街中、どこでもです。

・晴れの日：日光で雪が溶けて地面一面水浸し
・曇りの日：除雪、溶雪を促すので地面一面水浸し
・雪の日：雪かきに必須

少し靴下を濡らすと足先が凍りそうになります。気づけば私、この1ヶ月長靴以外を履いていません…もう長靴なしでは生きられません。

この作業用長靴、今冬は日本中で特に積雪が多い為、今はホームセンターで品薄とのこと。
…隣のおじさん、ぱないっす！

A story of boots in a snowy country.
In summer, my uncle living next door said, "It's a must-have item," so I bought new boots. There used to be a 90s J-POP song called "Kuroi Butsu -oh my friend-",a songs of fashionable boots, but as you can see, the boots I bought are sober and not cool at all. These are called "work boots" and "safety boots".
It is a treasure in winter; not just useful item in field or garden in other seasons. I found everyone wearing it everyday, everywhare. In the supermarket, city mall, library, maybe even in a office.

Sunny day: The snow melts in the sunlight and the ground is much flooded.
Cloudy day:People promote snow removal and melting and the ground is much flooded.
Snowy day: Essential for shoveling snow

I haven't worn anything other than boots for the past month or so. I was surprized myself. I can't breathe without it anymore!
