[Massacred by dogs] Amakasu Incident
On September 16, 1923 (Taisho 12), anarchist Osugi Sakae, his common-law wife Ito Noe, a writer, and Osugi's nephew Tachibana Soichi (age 6) were taken to the Special Higher Police Department of the Military Police and murdered by Captain Amakasu Masahiko and others at the Military Police Headquarters, after which their bodies were dumped in a well.
