At this point I just removed the " aol tos" icon from the first page of my Home Screen and replaced it with the App I just downloaded. It works fine, as does Safari. So obviously there is something wrong with my phone's settings. just downloaded. did the latest iOS update to see if that would help, and it doesn't.

I tried this both by turning the Primary Server On and then turning it off, and using only the "Other SMPT Servers" which in this case is just a duplicate of the Primary anyway. However, either way, I still have no mail in any mailbox, and I have no ability to send messages from the "Mail" app on my homescreen. I have plenty of messages in all boxes, by the way, all of which I can see on my PC browsers, iPad, and on all my iPhone mail vehicles that still work (Safari and downloaded AOL app).

If you use a firewall and are getting a blank page when trying to access AOL Mail, you may need to disable your pop-up blocking software or add AOL to your allowlist. While you'll need to contact your software vendor for specifics to your software, most browsers will allow you a temporary bypass by holding down the Shift key as you click web site links. Additionally, try using the following friendly URLs when accessing AOL Mail: "* .aol.com" "registration.aol.com" "webmail.aol.com"

@ g8rlitig8r @AOLSupportHelp I am trying to close my account and the online route won't let me and said I had to call customer service. I did and the rep unhelpfully told me to try the online route. When I said that didn't work, and what she was telling me wasn't working, she hung up on me.

I’ve had the same problem, finally found a solution. Use safari go to aol.com to sign in. Go to account security, then click on generate app password, from there you will see “select app” click on iPhone mail. Then press generate. Copy the password it generates, go back to settings, account and passwords and add account, aol. Input your name and username but instead of your own password paste on the one you copy from safari. I believe you're right. Comcast, right? I will definately look at that one. I'm not sure about the ISP or even understand what it is although I believe my Mac should have the capabilities. As you can see, I'm not up to date on the email subject. More Less

After talking with AOL, they believe that my Mac has been hacked and that they could fix it for me for $200+! I told them to take a hike. Weird how this started happening right after AOL made some changes. Now, I'm not even allowed on their site. So, I'm looking to open a new email account with a new provider. Any suggestions that would be Mac friendly would be appreciated.

I deleted the AOL account from my phone already. That was the first thing I tried, deleting it, restarting the phone, then re-adding the AOL account. I did this many times, including adding alternate, Secondary Servers with the same smpt name, and disabling the primary, then re-enabling it after that didn't work.I don't think its a problem with my phone or Internet connection, because AOL works on both Safari and on the AOL App I installed the other day, and it works fine on my PC.Honestly, if I had to guess, I would say that there is some problem with AOL on their server side. I don't see what else can be the case, since I have deleted and reinstalled AOL from "Accounts & Passwords" in the iPhone's settings menu many times now. More Less
