Hip-hop isn't exactly modest, but it's rare to find a star as outrageously controversial as Eminem, a.k.a. Slim Shady. As defiant as he is extraordinarily talented, the Detroit rapper, real name Marshall Mathers, rose from the underground to become one of the world's most successful hip-hop artists.


Among Eminem's many accolades, one of them was having the highest sales of any American artist in the 2000s. And most recently, at the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards, he performed a freestyle rap that brutally criticized Donald Trump, showing that his ability to provoke outrage has not diminished, but that his worldview has loosened. It has also been stated that there will be no such thing.
