この一週間は劇場に入りワークショップをようやく始められた。有難い事に参加者は前向きで良い座組になるな、と確信出来た事は最大の収穫だ。これから長い旅路になるのだが、私達に続いて三週間程遅れて来た振付助手は二週間隔離後もルールが変わりやはり更に一週間は劇場に入れないという憂き目にあった。日本とはまた違い、ルールが刻々とこの国では変わる。
実際に演出・振付した白夜行のツアーはまだ続いてるものの、そのツアーを観る事はまだ三週間経過していない我々は叶わなかった。それが判断されたのは観劇予定の前日。劇場判断だったらしい。
こういう決定については、日本と中国のどちらが良いとも思わないけれども、このスピード感には改めて驚かされる。
そしてこちらに来て既に一ヶ月以上が経ち、本稽古も始まった所でようやく情報が公開となった。
これでようやくこちらにいる理由を明かせます。
白夜行から三年、再びミュージカルを制作します。

染空間 ミュージカル［人間失格］

This week, finally I can get into the theater and start the workshop. Thankfully, the participants were very positive and I was confident that we would have a good group, which was the biggest gain. We had a long journey ahead of us, but the choreographer's assistant, who came three weeks after us, had to wait another week before she could enter the theater because the rules changed after two weeks of isolation. Unlike in Japan, the rules change every minute in this country.
Although the tour of "Into the white night" I actually directed and choreographed is still going on, we were not able to see it until three weeks had passed. The decision was made the day before we were scheduled to see the play. The decision was made by the theater.
I don't think either Japan or China is better when it comes to this kind of decision making, but I was once again surprised by the speed of the decision.
It's been more than a month since I arrived here, and the information was finally released just as the rehearsals started.
Now I can finally reveal the reason why I am here.
Three years after "Into the white night", we are going to produce a musical again.
