Diagnosis
I was diagnosed with low vision when I was in high school.
I have had problems with my eyesight since I was ten years old. However, the ophthalmologist said that it was a psychogenic vision problem. So, I believed that my eye disease would get better someday.
In the winter of my first year of high school, I finally began to lose the ability to read.
I couldn't even see the letters on the blackboard.
At that time, I was terrified.
I asked my parents to take me to a bigger hospital.
I was taken to a larger hospital, where I was immediately diagnosed with low vision.
The optic nerve in my eye had atrophied. There was no treatment available at that time.
I cried as I left the doctor's office, hoping that one day my disease would be cured.
