Video Insightsを使おうとしてワタワタした感想①：ChatGPTプラグイン

インストールに至る前に不安になった話


プラグインの名前は、プラグイン紹介記事で何度かみたので、有名なのかな。と思ってトライです。

インストールしようと思ったら、Videoのつくプラグインは他にもあるようですが、間違えないようにVideoInsights.ioを選択。

私、この時点で不安になる。
書籍では”Video Insights”と紹介されておりまして、この名前で検索した記事を見ていると、　ioの末尾は付いていませんでした。名前も、”Video Insights”と半角空欄ありで、英語の短い説明文も異なりました。
似たような別物でしょうか？
でも、アイコンは完全に同じなので、アップデートされたのかもしれません。

「VideoInsights」プラグインが、「VideoInsights.io」プラグインに変更になった（アップグレードした）ようです。
「VideoInsights.io」プラグインでは、結果が変わるかもしれません。後日、検証して報告します。

と記載あるのを見つけたのですが、開発元のサイトを探していると、

の二つのサイトに行きあたってしまいました。
一瞬、私の中で、似たような名前のプラグインがある説が浮かびます。

よく見ると、前者のサイトに、

と、あるので、アップデートされたことは間違い。という結論に達しましたが、ちょっとビックリしてしまいました。
ちなみに、.ioはイギリス領インド洋地域、.aiはイギリス領アンギラに割り当てられたドメインだそうです。

使っている方が多そうなので、大丈夫な気はしますが、開発元はよくわかりませんでした。


VideoInsights.ioの有料プラン

書籍に名前が載っていたからとりあえずプラグインに馴れるために使ってみたい。ぐらいの私は、Freeプランを使いたいと思いますが、実は月額$9.99や$19.99の有料プランもあるようです。

表にまとめて見るとこんな感じ。
個人の無料使用は月15動画までだとすると少し長めの、全部見るのはだるい動画を要約してもらうのがいいかも、と思いました。

会員登録

私が読んだVideo Insightsの日本語の紹介記事では触れられていなかったのですが、Pluginをインストールしようとしたら、会員登録を求められました。

私は左側のContinue with Googleをクリックしました。
ログインするアカウントを選択すると、すぐにChatGPTの画面に戻ります。


インストールしてPluginを選択

なぜか戻った画面で、インストールが出来ていなかったので、再度Pluginストアからインストールし、さらにプラグインの右に✔マークを入れます。
これでようやく、準備完了です。



ようやく、Pluginを使ってみる

やっとPluginを使ってみるところまでたどり着きました。
早速、動画を見繕って、試してみます。

専門家が話している動画で、それなりに長く、かつ対話型で企業の広報動画のように徹底的に編集されていないものから情報収集することを想定しました。

見繕ったのは、専門性の高そうながんの啓発動画で、国がんの先生がお話しになっている動画になります。チャンネルはNPO法人のものになります。

日本語動画なのに英語でサマリが出てきたことにまず困惑。
さらに言えば、
Duration: 1 hour, 15 minutes　→　30分弱の動画なのに？
Views: 2.3 million　→再生回数は1.1万 回視聴　となっているけど…
となんか違う感があります。

何より、Title: "The Future of AI: How Artificial Intelligence Will Change the World"　は、動画タイトルについている、【肺がん最前線②】薬が効かなくなったらどうするの？耐性への備え　LC-SCRUM　～国立がん研究センター東病院　呼吸器内科　泉大樹先生(再アップ)とは流石にかなり違う気が…

一体、何が起こったのでしょう。と困惑の結果となりました。
