Nagasaki peace park

 I was impressed.
 One day at the end of summer、 I was deeply moved by the peace statue　showing up from sunset.

 This park was created on August 9, 1945 in an area that includes the hypocenter of the atomic bomb dropped,and the top of the hill to the north of Nagasaki prefecture. The size of park is 18.6 hectares, which is quite wide.

 In addition to the Peace Memorial Statue and the Peace Fountain, there are also a paper crane tower, the Nagasaki Bell, the ruins of Urakami Cathedral, the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum, and peace monuments sent from various countries.
 In the park, there is a peace statue (height: 9.7m) that symbolizes Nagasaki citizens' desire for peace. Symbolizing the mercy of Buddha, the right hand pointing to the heavens symbolizes the "threat of the atomic bomb," the left hand stretched out horizontally symbolizes "peace," and the lightly closed eyelids symbolize "praying for the repose of the souls of the atomic bomb victims."

The dignified peace statue still appeals the preciousness of peace.

 Along with the Peace Memorial Statue, the park's symbol is the Peace Fountain (diameter: 18m), which has the soul of the victim died groaning, "Water,water!"

I want you to think of those who died in search of water.

 The city of Nagasaki designates August 9th, the day of the A-bombing, as "Nagasaki Peace Day," and holds a peace prayer ceremony in front of the statue to declare peace to the whole world. A-bomb survivors, bereaved families, citizens, youth, and representatives from all over the world including the Japanese Prime Minister attended. At 11:02 am, when the atomic bomb exploded, the "bell of Nagasaki" was rung, and all the participants observed a minute's silence. On the eve of the Peace Memorial Ceremony, a bunch of candles are lit, and a mourning event is held for the victims.

 It is used by many people as a valuable base for peace learning for children who will lead the next generation, and as a place of peace filled with prayers and wishes.
