To make better use of the facts of a disaster, it should be told in the stories that people felt from it.

Disasters are unpredictable as to when and where they will occur. Therefore, it is important to inform and share information about disasters that have occurred in other regions and what we can learn from them in advance.
However, as in the parable of the "sower," the effect of the information delivery depends on the place (person) which receives the information. We compared the differences in the change in awareness, when the disaster information was presented in two different styles: 1) individual information and 2) a 10-year story from a certain person's point of view. Interestingly, it was suggested that the story-based experience may raise not only awareness of disaster prevention, but also awareness of the environment in which they currently live and interest in disaster prevention and environmental preservation there at the same time.
