MMG Axie Master League

▼Why did you initially decide to work on axie?

I started Axie in November 2021 as a scholar for a friend.

I entered Axie Infinity as a Scholar because I thought if I could make money playing games, I could do it too!

▼When you started axie, could you imagine where you would be today?

My goal was not to be a professional gamer like I am now, but to "I'll get The World at BCG.

▼What idea did you have to start the initiative?

My initial goal was to "I'll get The World at BCG," but my knowledge of virtual currency and BCG was almost zero.
However, good information does not come to those who cannot offer anything themselves. Therefore, I needed to show my value.
Since that time, Axie Infinity had a Japanese community and I felt that it was an environment that respected skilled players, so I set a goal to be the fastest in this game and to increase my value through Twitter and other means.

▼What specific activities did you mainly do? What was most effective?

First, I aimed to reach the top band of the ranking as fast as possible in order to be recognized by existing players and the community.
Based on the results, I communicated with the top players on Twitter and went to their games and communicated with them a lot.
This activity paid off, and we were able to exchange information and lend/loan axie (NFT).
Three of my current teammates were originally players I admired.

▼How much time do you spend on average per day? How many months have you been doing this?

I spend all of my time on Axie, Twitter, etc. except for sleeping and eating, which is a little better these days.
I can no longer watch any of the comedy shows or e-sports games that I used to like.
There's so much I can do to win, but it's all due to not using my time well enough.

▼In the process of doing this, were there times when you ran into barriers or went off the path? When you did, how did you get back on track?

The hardest time I felt like I was going off track was around February~June of last year.
My original goal should have been "I'll get The World at BCG.," but for some reason, "I don't want to lose at Axie" became everything.
One of the reasons was that I was in a situation where I could not afford the initial investment in other BCGs, but I had no choice but to do Axie.
At the time, token prices were falling, competitions and prizes were scarce, and the future of Axie Infinity was completely uncertain.
Then SkyMavis announced a policy to increase the number of tournaments with high prize money with the aim of making Axie Infinity an esports event.
This trend allowed me to become a professional because of my past activities.
It is a sense that if I had stayed off the path and worked hard at what I could do, that path would have continued by chance. I think I was lucky.

【Change】

Axie Open Manilla

▼What was the best thing you did?

It was being able to calmly assess my own strength and create a strong environment.
I consider YUUUU, DE-HI, and ZANNZAKI, who are now on the same professional team, and their breeder, RYUINTM, to be my team, and they are very capable.
They are very talented, and being on a team with people like them is my greatest asset. I feel very comfortable in an environment where I can be happy to see someone else win.

▼What's the biggest change you've seen after doing it?

Before I started Axie Infinity, I was a pretty extreme recluse, like "I don't want to talk to anyone, I don't want to go outside, I don't want to fight with people.
But in the end, you can't move forward in life if you avoid competition. The most important change for me was realizing that.
Now I work with the feeling of "I don't want to lose, and I want to somehow connect this environment to the future.

【Present time】

▼How much monthly income do you earn?

Currently, my basic monthly income is the salary of my team METAT8 and the salary of GuildQB, who is my advisor. (I will not reveal my teammates' salaries either, so please don't tell anyone.) In addition to that, my total prize money since last June has exceeded 8 million.
We are also planning to win the world tournament in Vietnam in March, so we are planning to exceed 10 million.

【What I Think Looking Back】

▼What advice would you give to yourself at the time, or to someone thinking of aspiring to be you?

1. Clarify your goals
If you do not clarify your goals, your feelings and actions will become blurred.
If you have a clear goal, you will naturally see what you need to do.

2. Look at yourself objectively
You need to look at yourself objectively and consider whether you can accomplish the goal on your own.
If you cannot achieve your goals on your own, it is important to create a strong environment in which you can achieve them.

3. Take necessary risks
There will come a time when you need to take risks and challenge yourself in order to achieve your goals. At least I think I would not be in the situation I am in now if I had played it safe.I think the key to achieving your goals is to be well prepared so that you can make the decision to take risks in critical situations.
