12月23日の夜。
お風呂の中で、突然、インスピレーションがやってきた。

『この曲を、歌いなさい』

11月半ば頃に、初めて聴いたとき、震えるほどの衝撃を受けた。
Leonard Cohen氏によってつくられ、Pentatonixによりカバーされたものだった。

いや。
この曲自体を初めて聴いたはずは、ないのだけれど。
こんなにも、細胞が震え、涙がとまらないことは。
いままでに、なかった。

どうしても歌いたいのだと、たくさん、たくさん練習した。
でも、歌おうと思えるときは、来なかった。

いつ歌うのだろう？
きっと、歌うことはないのかな。

そうして、想いは薄れていった。

いまになって、できるのか？
と、疑問が過ぎった。

けれど、次の瞬間に、こう思った。

この日以外に、ない。
むしろ、この日が来るのを待っていたんだ。

悔しいところは、たくさんあるけれど。

ひとりで歌って、歌い終わった後に泣いたのは、初めてかもしれない。

何の涙なのか、わからない。

ただただ、歌えてよかったという気持ちだ。

すべての命にむけて。
愛を込めて。
