RULE: In its present tense form, MUST has two meanings: (1) strong obligation and (2) strong probability, but in the past, it expresses only a strong probability. The past form of the modal MUST is MUST HAVE + the past participle. It is used to express a probability about the past.

I'm a Little Concerned
私は少し心配です

I must have eaten 食べたに違いない
I might have eaten 食べたかもしれない
I may have eaten 食べたかもしれない

For example
A. Timmy looks frightened! He must  have seen a scary movie today.
ティミーは怯えてるように見えます。彼は今日怖い映画をみたに違いありません

B. I'm not so sure. He might have / may have seen a scary movie , but that doesn't usually make him so frightened.
私はそうは思わない。彼は怖い映画を観たかもしれない、しかし普段はそれで彼をそれほど怖がらせることはありません。

A. I'm a little concerned. Maybe we should talk to him.
私は少し心配です。多分私達は彼と話すべきです。

B. That's good idea.
それはよい考えです。

For example(2)
A . Janet looks tired! She must have worked overtime today.
ジャネットは疲れてるように見えます。彼女は今日仕事で残業したに違いない。

B. I'm not sure. She might have / may have worked overtime , but that doesn't usually make her so tired.
私はそうは思いません。彼女右派仕事で残業したかもしれないですが、普段はそれで彼女をそれほど疲れさせることはありません。

A. I'm a little concerned. Maybe we should talk to her .
私は少し心配です。多分私達は彼女と話すべきです。
