In order to become good "Kami=GxD" and support their descendants, my grandparents seemed to discipline themselves very hard. During World War II, most people in Japan did not have enough food. My grandfather used to invite strangers, whomever he met on the street and were in hunger for dinner. My grandmother always welcomed anybody as if they were their old friends. Their great giving and sharing spirits have been passed on to our family members.

My mother has never worked outside except a couple years before she met my father. She was also very warm-hearted person, but she did not have the same level of depth that my grandparents had.  Therefore, I did not have many common issues that we could really share with each other. I kept a good daughter role, wearing dresses as she liked, taking leadership in the class, school, and college as she admired, and I even tried to find a partner to marry through a matchmaker.
