Member Interview Vol.2-2

I'm introducing another Takamura, software engineer, who joined the USCT* project before Lily MedTech was incorporated as a company.  
*USCT : Ultrasound Computed Tomography. 

-Could you tell me your role at Lily MedTech?
Developing the program, especially around the user interface, to control the system.

-Could you share your background with me? 
Lily MedTech is the third company I'm working for. I've been developing software my whole career. The first job was related to medical imaging and the second one was related to web services.  
When I was working for the second company, one of my university friends, Shiho, current CEO of Lily MedTech, asked me to participate in the clinical trial. As a participant of the clinical trial, I visited the laboratory to find they need more members to develop GUI (graphical user interface). I ended up supporting the project after working hours.    

-What are your motivation and challenges? 
The surprising combination of "startup" and "medical device", as well as  the project developing new medical device from "zero" were all very attractive for me and so I decided to join Lily MedTech. I want as many people as possible to use our device. 

-How do you find Lily MedTech?
It is very interesting to be a part of organization which keeps changing and expanding.  Although there are challenges along the way, I can do what I want to do, and I enjoy it a lot. 
I feel that the job at LM could rewrite the textbook of "breast cancer screening" in the future. 

-Could you tell me a little bit about your personal life? 
Working with my husband!
I like going out for drinks with various people, I especially like whisky. 

I also like driving cars and motorbikes very much! My husband and I enjoy participating in a 10-hours endurance car race once a year!
