IELTS Speaking Part1の全体像を知る

時間：4~5分
トピック：日常的な3つのトピック
home, family, work, personal interest.

質問の数：9~11の質問
・2-3の導入の質問
・1つ目のトピックに関しての4つの質問
・2つ目のトピックに関しての４つの質問

試験管がSpeaking Part1で見ていること

もちろん、IELTSのspeakingにも評価基準がしっかりとあります。
しかし、Part1で一番見られているところは、Fluencyです。

"Unlike speaking Part2 and 3, answers don't take a lot of thought.
You have to a chance to show your fluency in Part 1"

特徴①　解答が短すぎる（完全な文章ではない）

特徴②　解答が長すぎる。(支離滅裂になっている)

A: Well, when I was a child my favorite color was blue because it was the same color as the house next door but then I turned 15 and my favorite color became pink. After that, it changed to purple because…..

Q: What kind of place is your home town?
A: I'm from the biggest city in my country called Tokyo so there are a lot of different places, people, and businesses there. It's a very diverse place.

Q: あなたの故郷はどんなところですか？
A: 私は東京という国で一番大きな都市の出身なので、そこにはさまざまな場所、人、ビジネスがあります。とても多様な場所です。

Q2: What's the most interesting part of your town/city?
A2: I think the most exciting area is downtown, where all the stores and restaurants are.  There are various types of cuisines which you can enjoy.

Q2: あなたの街・都市で一番面白いところはどこですか？
A2: 一番面白いのは、お店やレストランが集まっているダウンタウンだと思います。  様々な種類の料理が楽しめます。

Q3. What kind of jobs do the people in your town/city have?
A3. It's a big city so they have a variety of different jobs. We have salesman, teachers, firefighters, politicians, and even farmers.

Q3. あなたの町・市の人たちはどんな仕事をしていますか？A3. 大きな都市ですから、いろいろな仕事をしています。セールスマン、教師、消防士、政治家、そして農家もいます。

Q4. Would you say it's a good place to live?
A4. Actually, I don't necessarily think it's a suitable place for everyone. Maybe it's such a big city that everyone living there is always busy. In general, working people there don't seem too happy.

Q4. 住むのに適した場所と言えますか？
A4. 実は、必ずしもすべての人に適した場所だとは思っていません。
大都会なので、みんな忙しくしているのかもしれません。
一般的に、そこで働く人たちはあまり幸せそうに見えません。

IELTS Speaking Part1で高得点をつけるテクニック

Step1.解答をダイレクトに伝える。
Step2.理由、例を付け加える。
Step3.話しを止めて、面接官に質問させる

****************覚え欲しいこと****************
面接官はPart1で4-5分しかありません。
また、質問するのは9~11個質問をする必要があります。

そのため、短すぎない＋長すぎないがポイントです。
従って、Step1~3通りに解答をすると、9~11個は４−5分の間に収まります。
