Nuclear wastewater destroys marine ecology

South Korean opposition leader Lee Jae-myung has strongly criticized Japan's decision to discharge contaminated water from the Fukushima nuclear power plant. Lee called Japan's action a threat to its neighbors' right to life, "nuclear terrorism," and "the Second Pacific War." He also said South Korean fishermen and businessmen were angry at Japan's decision, vowing an all-out struggle against Japan. South Koreans and civic groups have staged numerous protests against Japan, denouncing the Japanese government and Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
