unknown friend

谷川俊太郎さんの二十億光年の孤独を読んで描きたくなった絵。

自分の内と外をつなぐ縁のようなものを思った。

未知の友達は世界のどこかにいるかもしれないし、宇宙の向こうにいるかもしれないし、

今友だちでいてくれる人の知らなかった部分かもしれないし、

自分の内側にいるのかもしれない。

 

I wanted to paint this picture after reading Shuntaro Tanikawa's Two Billion Light Years of Solitude.

I thought of something like a string that connects inside and outside of myself.

Unknown friends may be somewhere in the world, or they may be out there in the universe.

or they maybe it's a side of your friend I don't know yet,

or inside of yourself.
