【HAMLET｜TOILET】 Director's note（Yu MURAI）

Locked in the bathroom, I was frightened by the thundering sound of the door. Do not disturb. Excreting words, scribbling them on the wall, looking to the right, to the left, to the back, to the front, I realized that I was alone at the end, after being swayed by myself. ―This is the world―. Then who knocked on the door of the world? "Is there someone inside?" or "Is there someone outside?" I don't know. When the excreted words lose their way and continue to wander, word after word after word（“Words, words, words”）, when they reach the end of the world, what on earth do those words that lead to silence say to me?

厠に閉じ籠り、扉の音が鳴り響くことに怯えていた。邪魔をするな。ぶつぶつと言葉を排泄し、壁に書き散らし、右を見よ、左を見よ、後を見よ、前を見よ、と己に振り回された果てにただ独りであることを識ったのだ。―此処が世界だ―。ならば世界の扉を叩いたのは誰だ。「内に誰か居るのか」或いは「外に誰か居るのか」。分からない。排泄された言葉が行方を失い、彷徨い続け、言葉、言葉、言葉、と世界の涯てへと連なるとき、沈黙に至るその言葉はいったい俺に何を語るというのだ。
