How to play KAMITOKO (Moving & Living)

Guide in playing “Kamisama no iru tokoro(The place where the spirit is)”
-Moving in & Living together-

Thank you for coming and enjoying the life in Kamitoko everyday.
In this world, players can have their own room and live in this town. They are known as“residents”.  So, let’s enjoy VR life together!

[Introduction: Recruitment and Evacuation]

Recruitment

Currently, we are not recruiting any "residents". But if there are vacancies, we will notify via Twitter. There is also the Kuromatsu Hotel (Minsyuku), so for example, you will have more fun visiting the town you used to live in for the first time in a while. Therefore, please follow us to get the latest updates.

Moving-out

Please don’t be afraid to notify us if you wish to terminate your residency. We would ideally want to process any termination as soon as possible. Therefore, if you have the desire to move out, please make sure to notify us on Twitter.
Only the room owner can move out. So, if you are a housemate, the room will automatically be cancelled.

Let’s talk about the role of each player.

Manager

9191(kui kui) is the manager and the creator of “Kamisama no iru tokoro”. Authorities such as processing the move-in of the room owner is done by the manager. Other authorities that 9191 has are as follows.

1. The manager has a bird’s eye view of the whole town. He can patrol and check the whole area.

2.  The manager can set the applicant as a room owner (if there is a vacant room available).

3.  The manager will receive notifications if there are any comments. (He might be able to respond to some of those.)

4.  The manager will occasionally get notified if a player has entered the world.

Room owner

You will be the owner of the room that you are moving in to. Ownership will automatically renew if a move-out has not been requested.
The benefits of the room owner are as follows.

1. You can have your own room that only you and your Housemates can enter*

2.  The starting point will be your room

3.  You can create a Housemate in your room**

*The manager can enter the room, and anyone can enter by opening the inner key. (This will be explained later.)
**The room owner is responsible for updating the Housemate every month.

Housemate

You will be able to live together with the room owner by receiving the master key from him/her. The Housemate's key has to be renewed at the start of every month.
To continue living together, the housemate must request the key from the room owner. *

The benefits are as follows.

1. The starting point will be the same room as the room owner.

2.  you can freely enter the room of the room owner.

*In regards with the 1-month validity, there will a time lag from the end of  the month to the next. If you cannot enter the room, please consult the room owner and request the key again.

Receiving the key

The room owner needs to receive the key directly from the manager 9191(kuikui) or a person in charge, so please contact me (komatsu). Twitter account : @KouMatsuya.

How to the room works

[Outer doorknob]

The room owner and the housemate can enter the room by touching the doorknob on the outside (It may be difficult to find because the outline of the item is turned off).

Other players won't be able to enter even if they touch the doorknob. But anyone can enter the room temporarily using the “inner key”. (This will be described later.)

[Inner doorknob]

Anyone can touch the inner doorknob. You can also get out of the room by touching it. (It may be difficult to find because the outline of the item is turned off)

[Inner key and window]

There is a grey round switch on the door. (Apologies if the switch is hard to find because it also doesn't have no outline)

Press the switch to turn it blue. While the switch is blue.
- All players can enter the room through the outer doorknob.

-The windows can also be opened to see the outside scenery.

Handing over of the Master key : How to become a Housemate

The steps to become a housemate are as follows:

1. The room owner needs to go to the 2nd floor of the candy shop.

2.  Touch the black key icon to generate a key.

3.  Give the generated key to the person who wants to be a housemate
   (grab & release)

4.  The Housemate needs to use the key (Note: It will disappear once used.)

5.  If successful, the sound “clang, clang, clang” will be heard.

6.  To further confirm that it's successful, re-enter the world. The starting point should be the room.

Quick Pointers:
The "key" is an item that can only be generated by the room owner. If a player uses the key given by the room owner, the system will recognise the player as a "Housemate".

The key is found on the second floor of the candy shop.

Let’s enter this door with the room owner

For the room owner : The number of the current season is displayed. If this number changes, the key will be invalid. If this happen, the room owner needs to generate the key again and distribute it to the housemate.

For the housemate : If you would like to live with room owner, please click the panel on the right before using the key.

If you touch the black key, a master key will appear

If you touch the box at the exit, you can go outside. So please, give the key to the Housemate.
Note : The key will disappear if the room owner use it (it has no effect if the room owner uses it)

The room number is assigned to the key but currently, it can only be displayed in PC. Therefore, it is recommended to use the PC when handing the key over.

The room number is AA000 for apartment A, AB000 for apartment B, CP00 for Corp, CA00 for Casa, and HI00 for Heights (00 is the room number).

For the Housemate : please use the master key once you receive it from the room owner. The key will disappear once used and you will hear a "clang, clang, clang" if the key is used successfully.

After that, you will be teleported to the room.

If you can start from that specific room, that means the procedure of moving-in is successful.
*If you find any bugs there, please contact the manager.

The master key season is displayed on the bulletin board outside.

How to erase the wrong key

The master key disappears when you go upstairs from of the candy shop again, please do not leave it in the town (again, please)

You cannot live in multiple rooms

It’s important to note that when you reserve another room’s master key, the previous one will automatically expire.

FAQ

Q : Does the voice in the room leak?
A :  The thin walls make it easy for people outside to hear. If you really care about it, you can move to a new server and play.

Q : Do I need to do anything to move out?
A : It may be annoying, but please contact us on Twitter, and the key exchange work will be done by the manager. We would appreciate it if you could only contact us.

Q : I want to get rid of my housemate.
A : We cannot deal with residents’ troubles, but if the person living together is malicious, the manager may take additional NG measures, so don’t worry please. In other cases, please keep in touch by the monthly deadline.

Q : How do I move in?
A : We will notify everyone if there there is a vacant room. If you know someone's room owner,please apply to live together. (Don’t force it)
There are other functions that allow you to stay at the hotel. So if you're here to sight-see, we welcome you in the hotel.

Q : Can I request furniture?
A : Immediately after moving in, it will be handled reasonably well, but furniture is just a bonus function. Generally, the  only furniture you can request is that in the other room. Increasing the types will overload the world. Also, please make a request via Twitter DM.

Q : Is there a list of furniture?
A : No, we’ll introduce it if anyone makes it. Please note that furniture is basically a bonus. If you want to know the type of furniture, please interact with each other and have them show you the furniture.

About "Kamisama no iru tokoro"

The name of this world is "Kamisama (Spirit)". However, it has nothing to do with the actual religion or your religion.
In Japan, ancient indigenous spiritual beliefs, Shintoism, and Buddhism are fused, and each person lives with their own (unconscious) view of religion.
