CSCs complete digital instruction of over 10 lakh people in rural regions


A total of 476 districts, 1,491 cubes and over 33,230 retailers have been covered under the IT ministry's digital education program for rural regions.

New Delhi: The frequent service centers (CSCs) have reached a new milestone by training over 10 lakh people in the rural regions, the ministry of information technology said on Saturday. To know about what aeps means.

"As of now, the CSCs have coached over 10 lakh people. Three to four days before, the figure was approximately five lakhs so that over these few days CSCs have coached another 5 lakh individuals," stated Ravi Shankar Prasad, IT and law, while addressing the press.

In an endeavor to promote digital trades and also to educate the citizens on the many procedures of payments, the IT ministry has arranged the DigiDhan Mela, a two-day occasion.

"It seems really good to see the excitement among the people about electronic payments. 29 banks and 18 mobile wallets have engaged in this event," he explained.

Over 20-25 associations, such as schools and colleges, are expected to attend the function. Approximately 3,000 people visited the first evening of this occasion.

"We intend to arrange such occasions for the other districts and cities with the support of urban growth departments and private businesses too," said Prasad.

A total of 476 districts, 1,491 cubes and over 33,230 retailers have been covered under the electronic instruction programme for rural places.

"We plan to train over 1.20 crore individuals. Aside from this, the goal is to train about 20 lakh shopkeepers and 14 lakh dealers too," he added.

Throughout the two-day occasion, support is also being expanded to taxpayers for opening their bank account, to register them to Aadhaar, and also to empower their present accounts into Aadhaar allowed payment method (AEPS) accounts.

The participants in the DigiDhan occasion include telecom firms like Airtel, Reliance Jio, popular social media platform Facebook, transport network businesses, AEPS sellers, department of Article, retailers (through advertising institutions), co-operatives such as Kendriya Bhandar and organized retail vegetables and fruits chains such as Safal, Mother Dairy amongst others.
