Starting Online English Conversation Lessons

Since I work for a foreign-affiliated company, I occasionally have to communicate with overseas team members. Until now, I have relied entirely on colleagues who can speak English whenever conversation was necessary. However, I decided to improve this situation, and in mid-May, I started taking online English conversation lessons with "Native Camp" to enhance my speaking skills.

Unlimited Lessons Anytime, Anywhere

The primary reason for my choice is the ability to take unlimited lessons, regardless of time or location. Unlike many online English conversation services that require reservations, this service allows you to take lessons at your convenience, be it any time or place (you can also reserve lessons with your favorite instructor within the same service). Since I started using the service last month, I have been taking lessons two to three times a day during my free time after work or on holidays. Compared to studying abroad or attending offline English conversation classes, I find it much more efficient for learning English.

Affordable Monthly Fee

The monthly fee varies depending on the plan, but I have subscribed to the Premium Plan for 7,480 yen. There are also other options, such as the Light Plan with up to eight lessons per month, and an additional option for unlimited lessons with native speakers for 9,800 yen. I find the English of Filipino instructors easy to understand, so I take lessons without any additional options. Compared to offline English conversation classes or other online services, unlimited lessons for just over 7,000 yen per month seem quite a bargain to me.

Quality of Instructors and Materials

Native Camp offers a wide variety of materials, from everyday and business English conversation to TOEIC preparation. However, I opt for the "Free Talk" course, where I can have casual conversations with the instructors without using any specific materials. I have spoken with about 40 instructors so far, and they are all friendly, making it possible to train comfortably without worrying too much about grammar. I highly recommend it.

These are the simple reasons why I use Native Camp. I hope to continue for at least a year!
