If you let guard down.

Remote work can be dangerous if you let your guard down.
My wife overslept today and asked me to call a taxi to go to the clinic.
Normally, after my morning meeting, I just do my normal work until the evening, so I decided to leave my computer on and drive her the clinic .
It's less than 20 minutes one way, so I thought I'd be fine if I left a little before 11:00 and returned at 11:30.
The road was a bit crowded, so I got back around 11:40.
When I raised my device, there was an urgent message from my boss to the entire team.
I thought it would be a bad idea to panic at this point, so I thought about it while drinking tea.
It had been about 15 minutes since the team meeting ended, so it was difficult to make excuses.
First of all, I started investigating the problem mentioned there, sent an interim answer, and then apologized for the delayed response without giving a reason.
As I calmed down a bit, I thought of a plausible alibi and sent it again.
It’s working good I guess.
