"Really, it's impressive how they can lift from that position, isn't it? Underneath is fine."
"A setter's job is to set, right? Setting the ball in the appropriate position."
"And?"
"An under utilizes two arms. An over utilizes ten fingers. It's about supporting more. That's what setters do."

...He may be cocky and sometimes overbearing, but when it comes to spikers, he's more sincere and dedicated than anyone else...

...Being on a team with someone like that, who plays volleyball like that, made me realize how half-hearted I've been... I thought I'd never be called again...
"The best in the world? If you keep doing the same thing as them, you'll be dragged down from the top in no time. Even if we're not the best in Japan, if we keep yesterday and the day before alive, what can we become tomorrow? Just one thing. Challenge today."

...Second place in the nation? Who cares about second place? Or third? It's all about yesterday...
...Yesterday is already dealt with. Many yesterdays have turned into muscles...
...What will I do today...
This is the prologue of "Haikyuu" - Inarizaki High School... Memories are unnecessary...

I believed that memories were necessary for you to live your life.
When you wake up in the morning, it's because you have memories of many past yesterdays that you can continue to live your life today.
According to research conducted by the National Science Foundation, a U.S. government organization, in 2005, on average, people have 12,000 to 60,000 thoughts per day, 80% of which are negative, and 95% are the same as yesterday.
However, my above thought is wavering a bit.

"This is something I've been thinking about since you disappeared and came back. You're not Hikari, are you?"
"Why... But I perfectly imitated her..."
"You used to talk about anything, right!? If you have something to say..."
"You keep saying 'before' as if it's about yourself."
"Is that so? Because I'm not really Hikari? Am I just not good enough?"
"Of course. You look like Hikari, you talk like her, but you're not Hikari!"
This is a conversation between Yoshiki and Hikari from "The Summer Hikari Died."

Even if there were a being that could inherit your appearance, way of speaking, and even memories if you died and appeared in front of me, that wouldn't be you.
While many people can be deceived, those who have truly cherished you, such as family or close friends, cannot be deceived.
Not being able to remember may mean that you weren't alive at all, or at least that's what it feels like.

Being able to remember means you were alive.
Only the memories left behind are proof of life.
You are in those memories.
Remembering your various appearances.
The happy moments, the sad moments, and the experiences we overcame together.
Your youthful self.
Your old self.
Until the moment your life ended, I was living with you.
Many singers have sung about this, and it's true that I feel this way.
However, humans forget.
And we can't live on memories alone.
At that moment, what supports me is not tear-jerking passages or moralistic sayings, but rather "memories are unnecessary."
