#D-DX01 DXっていう響きが何故か懐かしい (The word "DX" reminds me of something old...)

なんか、昔聞いた「システム化」とか「IT化」に雰囲気が似てるって思った人は多分僕だけじゃないですよね。。。？あ、４０歳以上の人ならたぶん。。。（無理やり共感を呼び起こそうとしている）。え、僕だけ？
なんかDXっていう言葉を調べていると「DXとIT化は似て非なるものである」っていう文章にすごく良く出会うのです。みんながそう言うからには何かが違うに違いない。でもこの文章自体がそこはかとなく懐かしい雰囲気。いや、自分の記憶力の弱さが怖い。
つまりDXというのは目的でIT化はその手段であるとか、DXというのは戦略であって、IT化はそのツールの一つであるとか。なにか喉まででかかって出てこない英単語のようなというか、聞き覚えがあるフレーズなのだ。調べてみると、2000年代初頭の「情報システム化とIT化の違い」みたいなものとすごく似ている気がする。

　例えばEMIDAS(2021）の記事（記事の一番下に参考リンクあり）を読むと、「システム化とは、継続的に成果 / 結果が導かれる仕組みを構築することであり、 コンピューター化とは一線を画す」と書かれていて、当時の議論がやはり手段と目的を間違えるなというところに主眼を置かれていたような気もする。つまり元々の意味を考えるとIT化もDXも同じ意味だったのかもしれない。古い言葉は意味も古いに違いないと追いやる、もしくは時間をかけて言葉の意味が変異し、新しい言葉がその地位に置き換わったのか。となるとDXもしばらくすると、DXはその手段でしか無いと言われる日がくるのかもしれない。

であればDXとかIT化とかの言葉にとらわれるよりは、本来の意味に立ち返って理解したほうが良いきもしなくもない。DXであろうがIT化であろうがおそらく目的はツールの導入ではなく、ビジネスを継続的に成長させていく、もしくは競争環境の中で生き延びていくどのような仕組みを構築すればよいのかみたいな話か。これが"コンピューター化"の時代から我々が「わかっていたけど、できなかった（しかもかなり長い間）」ことであり、ひょっとしたらその答えは必ずしもデジタルである必要はないのかもしれない。BX (Business transformation) とか別の言葉を使ってみようかな。"X=Transformation"という部分は響きがかっちょよくて好きではある。

Is it only me that "DX" sounds similar to "systematization" or "digitalization"? No? Yes, if you are over 40 maybe…? Hope its not only me.
When I research about DX I frequently hits the sentence "DX and Digitalization look similar but they are totally different". Since everybody says so, they must be different (I'm not a confident person Lol). Still I'm somehow familiar with the atmosphere that the word has. Ummm. What makes me feel like that. I really hate my bad memory…
Said that DX is the purpose and digitalization is the method, or DX is the strategy and digitalization is one of the tool to make it happen. They are the sentence which .. almost comes up to my mouth but I can not recall yet. Ok, lets search. Then I found that they are similar to the discussion "Difference between systematization and digitalization" in early 2000.

　For example, MIDAS(2021）mentions that "systematization is to develop business structure which sustainably generate achievement to  business entity. I assume that the discussion at the time was also "do not mixed up purpose and method (wild guess). Maybe the original purpose of digitalization and DX were the same or similar (too wild). Emerging new word put the old words in old position or meaning of old word changes in a long run then new words take over the roll. Maybe someday people would say that DX is the method but not the strategy…

Then we shouldn't focus only on the word but the original purpose. I assume what people wants to remind us in the past or even now is, we have to think about how to sustainably grow our business or how to survive in this competitive business environment. This is something we know but we couldn't make since computerization days. Then we don't might not need focus only on technology to achieve DX (Really??).Shall we use the other word like… BX (Business transformation)? Anyway I like the way how people use X (X=Transformation), its … cool Lol.
