Regrettably, due to our internal accounting reasons, it is difficult for us to accommodate your proposal. Therefore, we would like to suggest an alternative arrangement from our side.

Since the official fees for the 4th and 5th years are generally the same, would it be possible for you to cover the full amount of the official fee for the 4th year, while Company B covers the full amount for the 5th year instead?

In the event of a fee revision by the Patent Office, we will adjust the total amounts for the 4th and 5th year fees to ensure an even split and issue invoices accordingly. However, given that the revised law was just implemented on April 1, 2022, the likelihood of any fee revision is generally considered low.

Please note that Company B has already agreed to this proposal.
