There are chances that there can be some error generation while uploading, sharing, or accessing the file or data. The Too Many Request Error can be generated due to any reason, such as Temporary Account Suspension, Bandwidth Issues, or Caches.

If you wish to eliminate these error messages, then you can try these methods:

Check Account Details:

If some user crosses the allowed bandwidth limit (20GB for free members and 200 GB for Premium members), then Dropbox suspends the user account for the 24 to 72 hours under the consideration of “Policy Violation.” This suspension limit continues to increase with every violation. The suspension time can reach to several days if the violation incidents keep increasing.

So, you have to check your Dropbox account or mail account mentioning the policing violation. To remove this process, you can consider upgrading the plan to Premium, which offers 200 GB Bandwidth per day, which is pretty tough to cross.

Copyrights Violation Check:

If you share a file and anyone reports that it as a part of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), then you will see the Too Many Request Error.
It takes place when the file is shared with the public.
So, be careful regarding sharing the file that it does not contain any copy-write claims, illegal or piracy claims. It can lead you to the permanent suspension of the account.
Malware checking

One reason for the error can be malicious files. If you upload a file which is malware or virus-infected, then Dropbox detects the infected file and suspend that account or delete that file.
If any third party sends you the Link, then before taking any action, make sure that the third party is trustworthy.
Check the Link of the file is Enable or Not

If you are going to open a disabled file link, then you will observe a lot of error messages. So you should make sure that you take action on only active sites.

Open Dropbox and log in to your account.
Reach out to the page of “Shared links.”
Tap on the “Three Dots” mentioned along with the error link.
You will see the list of options. Tap on “Link Settings.”
Now tap on the “Link Setting” (under Link Settings).
Keep on the mind that the toggle button is Off, in front of the “Disable Download.”
After these steps, try again to open or share those links.

Generate New Link:

Dropbox disables all the old and unused Link. So, if you go to the shared links, you will see that many of your links are disabled.

First, Login on the platform.
Visit the page Shared Links.
Tap on the More(…), which is connected to the Link.
Tap on the option “Detele Link.”
Create the new Link to share that file. Then share that Link.
Conclusion:

Generally, the reason for “Too Many Request Error” is Account Suspension; so, try that first. Still, you should know others too. Now you can resolve these issues by yourself.
