Something like summer

An English book that I first read with my own ego (weird to put in that way tho but yeh)
The book that influenced my creativity as well.

*these quote is where i put highlights on when i was still in high school (kinda messed) *

Chapter Nine

"Can you speak Spanish as all?"
"Fluently, I was raised bilingual."
"Yeh its pretty obvious at this point that you're a bi," Ben teased.
"I'm not," Tim protested. "I just get really horny sometimes." (86)

(girllllllllll ikr?)

"Say something to me in Spanish."
"Like what?"
"Something nice."
Tim thought for a while before clearing his throat. He turned, looked Ben directly in the eye, and spoke.

"Ensename a volar, mi mariposa hermosa." (86)

Chapter Twenty

"Ben's heart melted quicker than the ice cream had." (183)

Chapter Twenty-two

"The two greatest loves of his life together in one place. What could possibly go wrong, aside from everything. The scientists who split the atom had probably felt the same way. They knew their actions might be dangerous, but like Ben, they were too damn curious to stop themselves. " (206)

Chapter Twenty-six

"Falling in love is a subtle process, a connection sparked by attraction, tested by compatibility, and forged by memory." (239)

"The song came to an end, and Jace began his speech. Ben only heard some of it, words like commitment and laughter, and something about growing old together, but the word that stood out the most was forever. No more uncertainty or wavering, no more lonely nights or pain. Just forever." (241)

(will i be feeling similar when i get proposed?)

Tim's expression was pained. "I've always needed you."
"You might want us, but you don't need us. You said I bring out the best in you, but all those wonderful things were already there, even before I came along. Live for yourself, Tim. Decorate the house with your paintings. Don't hide them away. Don't hide yourself away wither. There's a whole world out there waiting to see you. The real you. You're so beautiful, and I don't just mean your face or your bod." (252)

[…]

He turned and walked slowly to his car, grateful for and despairing every second that passed without Tim trying to stop him. Ben opened his car door and looked back to where Tim stood.
"Until next time?" Ben said.
Time laughed. "Until next time." (252)

Chapter Twenty-eight

"I owe this a lot of people. The subjects in each piece, of course. […] Even strangers, like the old woman I saw lying in the grass at the park, staring up at clouds and giggling like a little girl at what she saw there. […] So many people have inspired me, but only one gave me the courage to show what I had painted to other people. I hope he's here tonight, and as I finish this clumsy speech, I'd like you all to clap for him, not for me. Thank you, most of all, to Benjami Bentley." (272)

Ben watched them with envy ー how easily they could walk up to Tim without being overwhelmed by a decade's worth of feelings.
