April 8,9, 2023 Visit to Takarazuka Satoyama Marché an MIBUSANCI (Research Project Activity)

We have been conducting various research projects around the Ishibashi area with Goda-san from "graf", a design company in Nakanoshima, Osaka.

As part of the project, we visited several places last weekend.

On Saturday we visited the monthly ”Satoyama Marche” in Takarazuka.

We saw a variety of stores selling mainly local vegetables. All the booths were handmade and received a warm welcome. Among them, there was one booth that caught our eye. There, Takarazuka Ambassador 細川貂々(Hosokawa Hosokawa)-san, a famous Manga writer in Japan, was selling her own books under the name "Tentendo".

After that, we were given baked sweet potatoes by the staff and left the marché.

On Sunday, we visited "MUBUSANCI", a share house for students located near the Toyonaka campus.

The other day, we got a consultation about a vacant house from a community member we met during our research. After several discussions, we are now working to start a program to provide housing for students, especially for short-term international students who are facing many challenges in terms of housing.

On the other hand, in addition to the members involved in the research project, the manager of the vacant house himself has no knowledge of the business related to housing. So we decided to interview a person who actually provides shared housing for students.

We visited Donaka-san, who manages "MIBUSANCI", and got detailed answers to our various questions about how they came to realize the share house, the current activities, and what they found out after doing it.

Thank you to Donaka-san and her family for accepting our visit with such a big group of people.
