I may be able to see it, but I would like to take the bullet train again to look forward to it." He answered a question from a reporter.
The Type 923 Doctor Yellow is an inspection vehicle built based on the 700 series cars and runs on the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen. By running the track, they inspected the distortion of the tracks, abnormalities in the overhead wires, and whether the signal was received correctly. The T4 train owned by JR Central began operation in September 2001, and two T5 trains belonging to JR Japan West, which appeared in 2005, run alternately and inspect once every 10 days. The inspection data obtained from the two vehicles ensured the safe and stable transportation of the Shinkansen. The timetable was not open to the public, and it was famous as a bullet train that made you happy when you saw Dr. Yellow. This time, due to the aging of the car body, JR Central will retire in January next year, and JR West Japan will retire after 27 years. JR Central says it will plan an event before retirement.
