今年に入って Pipedream というワークフロー自動化ツールを使い始めた。

Pipedream は素晴らしいサービスである。これのおかげで特に Twitter 関係でいろいろなことが実現できている。

ある英語の記事を読んでいた時、pipe dream という言葉が出てきた。そこで気付いたが、pipe dream には特別な意味があるらしい。COLLINS Cobuild Advanced Leaner's Dictionary で調べてみたら以下のように書かれていた。

A pipe dream is a hope or plan that you have which you know will never really happen.

つまり、「実現できそうにない希望や計画」という意味だ。
