Music & Lyrics by Hiroyo Watanabe

I dreamed about a beautiful life with you.
But now I know it’s a childish thing.
We’re not bread and butter anymore.
You and I were living in the same world.
Far, far away our memory is gone
with the bright green mistletoe.
The winter wind blows to you.
I can feel it
How do you feel?

How often did we smile for photos?
All to keep our happiness forever.
I know happiness is a memory.
You and I are living in our different worlds.
All through the coming seasons and years,
I’ll smile again someday somehow.
The winter wind blows away.
These torn-apart photos of us, photos of us.

The winter wind blows to you.
How do you feel?
The chilly air makes everything radiant and pure.
…Take a deep breath.

My hair’s fluttering in the wind.
Sadness never never stays.
Tomorrow’s fine even if it snows,
I’ll smile again someday somehow
someday somehow whatever.

Behind-the-scene Story:

This track was recorded at the same time as "Rain" and "A border" with my band in 2021. This song was written around the same time as "Goes on" and "Brand-new days."

Yeah, This album is intertwined with my various emotions.

So let's talk about "December." It's a reflection of a past heartbreak during my younger days. To heal myself, I went to Izu Peninsula and gazed down from a cliff of it. Then, a gentle breeze blew, and I thought to myself, "I'll let this painful feeling ride on the wind and say goodbye to it."

I turned that moment into music.

At first, I wrote it in Japanese. When I translated the lyrics into English for this recording, I felt that the melody and harmony of this song fit perfectly.

Could you feel the wind thru this song?
