ガルシア杯 Lottery (Note Priority) #ガルシア杯01
Hello! This is my application for the Priority Right to enter the tournament!
自己紹介
My name Is Ethan Hegyi, but most people know me by "Hegster". I am from America, and have been living in Japan for 2 Months. I am 19, and am a First Year College student at Temple University Japan. My Japanese is still very poor, but I am doing my best to improve so I can communicate with all the amazing Pokémon Card Game players here in Japan :)
I was first introduced to Pokémon Cards in 2011, when I was just 8 years old. I however did not really start competing competitively until 5 years later, when in 2016, I attended my first National Championship. In the 2017-2018 season, I obtained my invitation to World Championships, and after taking a break for the 2018-2019 season, I qualified again for the 2022 World Championships.
As some of you may know, Over the Pandemic, I became an official Caster for the Pokémon Company in America. I went from traveling around the world playing Pokémon, to traveling around the world Commentating Pokémon events (And of course playing as well as much as I could). I have the privilege of being involved in many different ways in the Pokémon community. Whether it be as a Commentator educating and entertaining fans of the game around the world, to playing intense matches with some of the world's best players, to even coaching new players to help them improve at the game, Pokémon has presented me with so many opportunities in life that I am very thankful for.
今シーズンの抱負
This season I have several goals or aspirations I would like to achieve. Since I am both a commentator and top level player, I would like the opportunity to compete and achieve my invite to the world championships, while continue to broadcast events for the Pokémon company International. Getting invited to the World Championships is a very difficult task in Japan (it is still not easy in America), so I understand it may not be possible depending on how much time I will be in the country, but I still want to try my best, at least making day 2 at a Champions League event if I am able to be successful in the lottery. At the end of the day whether it be as a commentator on the stage for the World Championships, or at the table playing the game, I will be happy either way. I will give my best effort to both my broadcasting and improving as a player. I believe there is always more to improve on no matter what that thing is. I will do just that and give all my energy to improving!
