The themes of my paintings are often very personal and inward-looking, and I am often afraid to put them into words.
I am very happy if I can share what is difficult to verbalize through visual expression.

The title of the new work is "#5 Butterflies in stomach"

Do you ever feel anxious about events that will never happen, anxieties that you can't help but think about, covering your mind like a shapeless blur?
Or do you relate to people as if you are walking on thin ice?

The woman staring at you sees a formless anxiety beyond your gaze.The blindfolded woman is trying to get in touch with the inner voice and feelings that never leak out of the other's closed mouth.

The misty blur represents uncertainty, anticipation of the unknown, and fear of others, while the dancing butterflies symbolize hope and liberation.

The work depicts the inner life of a human being who is anxious and conflicted, yet trying to face others and his or her inner self.We hope you will enjoy the exhibition.

The 72-hour auction will begin at 21:00 (JST)on Saturday, December 23.
The winning bidder will receive a signed reproduction of the canvas art with serial number 1.
