はじめに

“はじめに言(ことば)があった。言は神と共にあった。言は神であった。 この言は初めに神と共にあった。 すべてのものは、これによってできた。できたもののうち、一つとしてこれによらないものはなかった。 この言に命があった。そしてこの命は人の光であった。”

…と聖書の、ヨハネ福音書の書き出しにありますが、この宇宙全存在のはじめにイエス・キリストが存在し、彼は神様と同格であり、また神様のご意志=ことば=メッセージと同格である、と信じているクリスチャンは、神の言葉=聖書のメッセージを理解することで、神を理解しようとし、天地、時間、この世界や人類や個の私たちの生や命を理解しようとします。

2020年春ごろから、私の聖書スタディの英語ソースの翻訳・要約・まとめノートとも言える表裏1枚のメッセージの紙を、週ごとにホームレスの方々や周囲の方々にお渡しして来ました。その一部をここにも英語と日本語(別投稿)で残しておこうかと思います。

私は今まで13から14の聖書スタディに参加して来ました。そこで見たのは、キリスト教の中の、人の宗派の終わらない戦いです。戦いは直接論争し合うこともときにありますが、主に聖書スタディクラスを主戦場に、どちらが多く影響を与え、ある人をどちらのスタンスに引き込むか、という引き込み合戦になっています。保守派側に引っ張られたり、リベラル派側に引っ張られたりしましたが、まず人の理念が先にあって、その結論に聖書の言葉を寄せる、そこには「神の言葉」ならざる、人の教えがありました。
私は神様の言葉と真意を知るためにスタディに参加したのに、そこに居ると神様の言葉と真意が聞けない、と思い、特にアメリカ的教えから離れました。そこで ”Exegesis(イクシジェシス)” という言葉を知るにいたります。日本語で表現が難しいですが、「聖書そのものに聖書の説明をしてもらう」ことです。そのためには、

■「聖書の文脈を無視しない」
■「聖書の時と契約、啓示の流れを無視しない」
■「原語ヘブライ語とギリシャ語の意味を考慮する」
…そして何よりも大事なのが、
■「聖書が書かれた目的そのものに沿って読む=イエス・キリストの救いを中心視点にして読む」です。

“39 あなたがたは、聖書の中に永遠の命があると思って調べているが、この聖書は、わたしについてあかしをするものである。”

この「イエス・キリスト」中心の視点で聖書を読み始めて、神様の本来のご性質が見え、神様が近くなったように思いました。ここにそのいくつかを記事としてご紹介したいと思います。

しかしそれも、私がある教師たちの導きを得て習ったものです。それを翻訳・要約する私の色も入ります。私自身も、読んで頂いたみなさんも「果たしてそれがほんとうかどうかを、聖書から聴く、調べる」事が大事です。

“10 そこで、兄弟たちはただちに、パウロとシラスとを、夜の間にベレヤへ送り出した。ふたりはベレヤに到着すると、ユダヤ人の会堂に行った。11 ここにいるユダヤ人はテサロニケの者たちよりも素直であって、心から教を受けいれ、果してそのとおりかどうかを知ろうとして、日々聖書を調べていた。”

聖句を一箇所しか引用しないメッセージやスタディではそれが難しいですが、なるべく聖句を聖句で説明しているメッセージを選んでいます。
お読みになられた方も、本当に神様はその意味で言っておられるのか、ご自身で聖書から聞き耳を立ててみてください。お読みになった方々にとって、神様がより近くにいらっしゃった事を発見する機会になれば幸いです。


In the beginning 

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.”

As the gospel of John…in the Bible is started like this,
The Christians who believes that Jesus Christ has been existed at the beginning before the whole universe was formed, and that He is equal to God and equal to God's will = word = message, try to understand God in the Word of God = the Bible.
By doing so, we also try to understand, heaven and earth, time, this world, and our lives as human beings and individuals.

Since the spring of 2020, I have been giving a sheet of paper with a front and back message, which could be called a translation, and summary note of the English sources of my Bible study, to homeless people and others around me on a weekly basis. I would like to put a part of it here as well, in English and Japanese (separate post).

I have attended 13 or 14 Bible study classes, and what I have seen was a never-ending battle amongst Christianity denominations.
 The battle is sometimes at a direct dispute, but it is primarily a battle of attraction, through the Bible study classes as the main battleground, to see which side will have more influence and draw some people to their stance. 
 I was pulled to the conservative side, and I was pulled to the liberal side, but they have their own thoughts first, and then the scriptures were taken advantage of their conclusion, there was the teaching of man, not the "word of God".

I joined the study to know God's word and truth, but I felt that I could not hear God's word and truth if I stayed there, so I took a distance from these teachings, especially the American way of teachings. Then I came to know the word "Exegesis".
It is difficult to describe, but it is to "let the Bible itself explain the Bible”. To do so,

■Not ignoring the biblical context.
■Do not ignore the flow of time, covenant, and revelation in the Bible.
■Consider the meaning of the original Hebrew and Greek words.
...and most importantly,
■Read the Bible according to the very purpose for which it was written = read the Bible with the salvation of Jesus Christ as the central viewpoint.

When I started reading the Bible from this "Jesus Christ" centered perspective, I began to see God's true nature and felt that God became closer. I would like to introduce some of the articles here.

But these are also what I learned with the guidance of some of Bible teachers. And in the process of my translation and summarizing, my own interpretation might be blended. So It is important for me and for everyone who reads them to "search and listen to the Bible and verify if it is true or not.”

“10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

It is difficult to do so with messages/studies that quote only one passage of Scripture, but I try to select messages that explains Scripture with Scriptures as much as possible.
So I hope you readers of the messages to search and verify to the Bible for yourself to see if God really means what these messages says. I hope this will be a wonderful opportunity for you to discover that God is even closer to you than you expected.
