背の高いゲート兵: こんなところに何しに来たんだい?
Tall Guard “What’s the purpose of your visit?”
スタイナー: 南ゲートの修理作業員の募集に応じてやってきた。住み込んで働けると聞いて一通りの荷物を持ってきたのである。
Steiner: “I heard workers were needed to fix South Gate.”
“I brought my belongings so that I might live and work here.”
背の高いゲート兵: そりゃ助かるねえ! このあいだの事故からずっと修理してるんだけどまだ動かないんだよ。
Tall Guard: “That’s great!”
“They’ve been working on the gate non-stop since the accident, but it’s still broken.”
背の低いゲート兵: 規則なんでな…その荷物、検査させてもらうぜ。５，６歩下がっててくれるか? やっぱりこれも規則なんでな。
Short Guard: “I need to check your bag.
Rules and regulations, you know.”
“Would you step back?”
背の高いゲート兵: あっ、そのへんでいいですよ! すみませんね、これも規則でして。
Tall Guard: “There, that’s good. Sorry, just doing our job.”
“So…Where are you from?”
Steiner: (Blast, I must do something.
背の高いゲート兵: 今ね、警備を強化してまして…。女の子と中年男のふたり組が手配中なんですけど、あなた、ここに来るまでに見かけませんでした? 堅いな…どうなってるんだ? その女の子ってのが、アレクサンドリア始まって以来の美姫と言われるガーネット姫とそっくりって話なんですよ。
Tall Guard “The police are searching for a girl and a middle-aged man.
Did you see a pair like that on your way here?”
