whiner(愚痴ばかり言う人)

動詞"whine"（泣き言を言う）から、そういう人を指す言葉に。辞書によっては掲載されていない。発音はHの音を強調せず/waɪnə/となることが多いので、winner(勝利者)との駄洒落になることが多い。負け犬、弱虫といったニュアンスも。

日本には"whiner"がいっぱいるが、なぜかそれをぴったり示す言葉がない。方言にはあるかもしれない。「愚痴り屋」というのも定着していない。もっとも英語圏でも新語っぽい。
