EMIRATES CABIN CREW ASSESSMENT DAY in JAPAN. (Including INITIAL SCREENING) *REVEALING "EVERYTHING" and TIPS!

ONLY here, I disclose everything about my experience of Emirates Cabin Crew Assessment Day in Japan. I spill all the processes and tips from Intimal screening (Airlige) to Final interview (Questions). Hence, attending to a flight attendant academy is NOT necessary to become a cabin crew, because there are bunch of information and sources out there. I'd appreciate if you consider this content as one of those sources!! It is based all on my experience, and it is definitely WORTH it! Are you ready for it?

DUBAI IS CALLING YOU

I. 'Airlige Application Form'

Language?
-English
What you do?
-Filling out an application (CV) form (Download it from Airlige's website) and submitting it to Airlige via email.  Instructions are given on their website.
Tips?
1. Put a nice smiling (showing your teeth) photo of yourself.
2. You must put your language skills, overseas experiences and customer service experiences on the form.
3. Simplify what you write down, and eliminate unnecessary info. (e.g. Put your skills or experiences regarding what is related to be a cabin crew job. It does not matter if you have a drivers license or how fast you can eat hotdogs.)
4. Try your best to fill all out the fields.
5. Rename your file correctly as the instruction says before sending it to Airlige.
6. Edit texts' font and size to make your application outstanding.
7. Run a spell and grammar check before finalize (save and send) your application.

II. 'Initial Screening'

Language?
-English
Venue?
- A conference room in Tokyo or Osaka
What you do?
-This interview is what is called "Initial Screening"
You will present yourself with a copy of your Airlige application form and Photos (Passport sized / Full length Business Attire).
What you do in this interview is your height check/ arm reach and some simple activities.
The height check and arm reach are just like what you know already :)
(You need to be able to reach 212 cm, without heels on)
The activity with an interviewer starts with an easy conversation such as "How are you doing?, where are you coming from today? what is your current job? tell me about your overseas experiences? Do you have customer service experience?"
Nextly, you'll be passed an article card in English. (The card varies from candidate to candidate.) The card (articles) is basically written about Dubai,  Emirates or Aviation. You'll be asked to read it aloud, and then summarize it up (without looking at the card).
Lastly, the interviewer might ask you some Yes/No questions regarding cabin crew responsibilities.
That's all for the "Initial Screening" ( Very simple right?)
What to wear? How should you look?
- Business Attire
- Bun and red lipstick for ladies and fresh haircut and clean shaved for gentlemen.
What is the recruiter looking in you?
1. Your big smile with teeth. (Whiten / Alignment)
2. Your English proficiency. (Especially conversational and reading skills)
3. Your "Cabin Crew" vibe.
Tips in this assessment?
1. Smile ALL the time.
2. Look into eyes (of listeners) when you speak.
3. Speak clearly and slowly.
4. Answer naturally to the interviewer.
5. Make yourself look like an excellent Emirates cabin crew already.
6. For "Read and Summarize" activity, you definitely need a practice, no matter how fluent you are in English. Go on to a website such as visitdubai.com or emirates.com. Find any article on there and practice to read and summarize as much as you can before attending to the Initial Screening to familiarize yourself with vocabularies and articles which might be in the given card! (Practice makes perfect yeah?)
7. Some of the Airlige interviewers are not native English Speakers. (as American, British, Australian or Kiwi). Be flexible to other English accents!

III. 'Assessment Day Group Discussion #1'

Language?
-English
Venue?
-A banquet hotel room in Osaka (should be a 4-5 Stars Hotel, FANCY!)
What you do?

You will be given about 10-15 minutes to discuss with your partner(s). (Do not speak any languages other than ENGLISH).
