I'm surprised by Paris's decision to triple parking costs for SUVs because I imagine that French people prioritize freedom more than others. So, the decision to target a specific type of car is unexpected.

Are SUVs common where you live? Do you think they're a nuisance?

SUVs are common in my country, initially among individuals who enjoy outdoor activities, but recently they have become popular with families as well. In our case, their presence is not considered a nuisance.

No, I agree that people should have the freedom to drive whatever type of car they want. Therefore, this initiative to increase costs for SUVs threefold compared to other cars seems somewhat questionable.

In my area, parking costs about 600 yen per hour, which is roughly $4. If you exceed one hour, you're supposed to pay an additional 300 yen per 30 minutes. However, if you visit shopping centers or large facilities, there are often discounts available.

How difficult is it to find parking in your town or city?

Finding parking in my town is quite difficult, especially in my area. Many people, including myself, opt not to use cars and instead rely on bikes or public transportation.
