Humans Wants to Help Humans. What is War? "75Years" Dr.SOKO DAY47/50

We all want to help one another. Human beings are like that. We want to live by each other’s happiness, not by each other’s misery. -Charlie Chaplin

Joy of Helping is a Sense of Superiority?

Is the joy of helping, a sense of superiority?

That was my inner question in the past.
When you help someone, they feel happy.

But

"Isn't it because of the superiority?"

The scientific answer to that question may not be clear at this time.

But

Even if I felt happy when I helped somebody, I wondered in my mind, "I am honestly happy. Is it true?Isn't it because of the superiority?" In the past, I couldn't affirm myself as a good person who help people with pure heart.

But that doesn't mean I have not helped people, even if I did not have pure heart. I have been trying to help people in a way that makes me less aware of my joy. I just do not want to be a person who work for a sense of superiority.

"The fact that I'm doing something that helps people is more or less helpful to people. It doesn't matter how I feel," I tried to think so at that time. Maybe I didn't care if I could repeat the fact of helping.

No, I thought it was different. It turns out that a person is a joyful animal by helping someone.

However, after all, always, I am happy when people make me happy with my actions.

Instinctual desire of people "I want to help someone"

Since I became a doctor, I sometimes make people happy. However, since this is a job, I have taken it for granted, so even though I'm happy, I thought that I had to stay calm. Moreover, if I feel that the joy is superior, I must  feel embarrassed. Therefore, I didn't like to feel superiority when I was delighted by doing something for somebody. So I have observed my feelings objectively.

And as I got older, I gained experience, and I started to understand my feelings a little.

So, I have learned from my experience. This is still my subjective idea. But I think the day will come when I can scientifically understand it, but until then, it was just my subjectivity.

When people help people and make them happy, that is similar to a tendon reflex, they instantly become happy. It is very quick response like the reflex, there is no space of thinking.

I can't help feeling that this has nothing to do with the one-cushioned feeling of superiority.

Like tendon reflex,

Like instinct,

The desire to help people. The joy.

"I don't have that desire."

If there was someone who said so,

I think it's like people with constipation don't notice the gastro-rectal reflex.

The gastro-rectal reflex is the bowel reflex that everyone has. When you eat food and your stomach is stretched , the intestines naturally make large peristaltic movements, which are reflexes that try to drain the stool that had been accumulated up. A person has a bowel movement to give stool after eating.

A person with constipation tends to think that "I have no bowel movements" while ignoring his natural bowel movements in his busy daily life.

Sorry, I did not mean about stool.

The desire to help others is also a natural reflex.

It's a human-like feeling, a human-like behavior, a natural feeling like a reflex. Isn't it wonderful that people can increase their joy by doing things for others?

What is a war:

On the other hand, if human beings are involved in war, they must do the opposite of their instinct and desire to "help others." This is a great pain for the human brain and heart.

War is a collective action, for the sake of the nation and for what it believes. However, as a result, individual people who go to war must behave in the opposite way to the human desire, "helping others." To send people to a war, a country harm its people mentally. This can be described as mental and physical abuse. Abuse is a crime, so war is a crime that harms our people. In fact, after going to war, people continue to suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) for decades.

I think helping people is a natural human desire, instinct.

It is the very humanity action to say NO, to a war.

Because,

We are human beings.
