Scientists Make, Politicians Use "75Years A-bomb" Dr.Soko DAY29/50

The Manhattan Project

The first time nuclear weapons were dropped on Earth was Hiroshima, Japan, on August 6, 1945. Three days later, on August 9, he was dropped in Nagasaki. In Hiroshima, 96.5% died within 500 meters of the hypocenter, 83% died within 0.5-1km, and 51% died within 1-1.5km. The surviving people also suffered radiation damage for many years. This statistics was summed up by American scientists and doctors in the "Medical Effects of the Atomic Bomb in Japan"  as a result of the Manhattan Project in 1956.

The Manhattan Project is an American nuclear weapons development project that began in 1942 and was so named because its original headquarters were in Manhattan.

Einstein-Szilárd letter

The trigger for the development of the atomic bomb in the United States was a letter sent by a Jewish scientist who was exiled in World War II in 1939. The recipient is the then President of the United States, President Franklin Roosevelt.

The letter raised concerns about the possibility of a powerful new bomb using uranium in Germany and suggested the urgent development of a new bomb in the United States. This letter is called the Einstein-Szilárd letter , and was sent by Einstein, who was commissioned by Szilard.

Eight months after this letter sent, Szilard will be funded by the United States to develop the atomic bomb.

Scientists tried to stop developing the nuke

The secret development of the atomic bomb started in this way, but in March 1945 it was found that no nuclear weapons were being developed in Germany. So the hands of the scientists who started the development temporarily stopped. At that time, the atomic bomb that had been developed was not used against Germany, which scientists originally assumed, but at this time, there was a possibility that it would be dropped on Japan, which has not yet announced its surrender. In addition, scientists imagined in 1945 that the power of the bombs they were developing would probably be far greater and more ruthless than they initially assumed

What actions had the scientists taken next, and what consequences had they brought?
