ドイツのメルセデスは、2030年までに再エネ7割に引き上げ、CO2半減へ。

ヨーロッパ経済ニュースEUROPE NNAは2022年04月13日に、ドイツの自動車大手メルセデス・ベンツ・グループ(The Mercedes-Benz Group AG/旧ダイムラー/former Daimler AG)はESG (Environment, Social and Governance/環境・社会・ガバナンス) Conference(会議)で2022年04月11日に、2030年までに乗用車の二酸化炭素(CO2)排出量を2020年比で半分以下に減らす方針を明らかにした。2039年までには実質ゼロとすると報告した。

ドイツ哲学的には、不可能を可能にする夢ではなく、極力実質ゼロに近づけるということである。

また生産に用いるエネルギーのうち、再生可能エネルギーの割合を現在の45～50%から、2030年までに70%に引き上げる計画。

このうち15%前後を自社施設内かそれに関連した太陽光・風力プラントで賄う。

このほか、コバルトなど産出国での人権侵害のリスクが高い24種類の原材料についても透明性を高める考えで、サプライチェーン(調達・供給網)全体にわたり、人権が尊重されるよう注意を払うという。

併せて、2030年までに上級管理職に占める女性の割合を30%に拡大する方針も表明した。

またグリーンABS(green Asset-Backed Securities/グリーン資産担保証券)やグリーンKPI(green Key Performance Indicators/グリーン重要業績評価指標)に関連した融資の活用を増やす意向も示している。

同様の宣言は、ドイツのBMW Groupも2021年05月12日に発表している。
