イギリスの家庭の光熱費、年間£300低下へ

ヨーロッパ経済ニュースEUROPE NNAは2024年02月20日に、BBC電子版がイギリス家庭の光熱費が2024年04月以降、年間£300近く低下すると、コンサルティング企業コーンワル・インサイト(cornwal insight)が予測したと、伝えたと報告した。

それによると、現在の£1,928から、平均的な世帯のエネルギー料金はこの先、過去2年余りで最低の年間£1,635へと、15%安くなる見通した。改定の影響を受けるのはイングランド(England)、スコットランド(Scotland)、ウェール(wales)ズの合わせて2,900万世帯で、北アイルランド(Northern Ireland)は対象外である。

エネルギー業界の監督機関Ofgemは近く、2024年04月から3カ月間の電力・ガス料金の新たな上限を発表する。これは単位当たりの価格規制のため、使えば使うほど料金が上がることに変わりはない。

コーンワルは今回、予想をやや下方修正した。その理由として、暖冬の影響のほか、紅海の船舶攻撃の問題が懸念されていたほど深刻化せず、卸売価格の上昇が抑えられたことを挙げている。
