I miss Tera Term.

Nice to meet you! My name is Kotaro Nakane, and I work as a director at Definer Inc.

This time, I would like to talk about Tera Term.

I Love Tera Term

I have been using Tera Term for a long time as a terminal to log in to Linux and other servers.

Since I have been using a Macintosh PC for my work, I have not used Tera Term for a long time and I miss it a little.

Apprentice engineer days with Tera Term

I have been using Tera Term as a terminal ever since my first project at the company I joined after graduating.

At first, I was a novice engineer, "Port forwarding? I was struggling with Tera Term everyday as a novice engineer.

I remember how impressed I was when I could set up port forwarding on a step server and use a remote desktop to access a Windows server.

I have a good memory that there were Tera Term macro artisans in the same team and the next team, and they deployed useful macros daily, such as changing the screen color for each server to prevent mistakes, setting up port forwarding and login via a step ladder, and so on.

I got to know Tera Term very well and learned to use the shortcuts like breathing.

(I think I've forgotten quite a few of them now, and I miss them)

For all Windows users, please try using Tera Term as a terminal! You will be hooked!
